65' HUDSON YOUNG BULLDOZES HIS WAY OVER!

By Simon Smale

Young gets the ball at first receiver, nothing much doing 10 metres out, and just puts the foot down and powered into De Groot, carrying him five metres backwards over his line.

Two Titans came to tackle from the sides but there was no stopping the Raiders forward and he somehow managed to get the ball down!

It's his third double in a row.

Fogarty adds the extras and it's an eight-point margin and, although it's got close in this second half, I think it could be enough to be game over.

64' Klese Haas on report

By Simon Smale

It was for a high shot.

Campbell Gillard is there too and there is still blood pouring out of his nose.

That's incredible - I've no idea where the cotton wool has gone.

63' HAVE THE TITANS SCORED!

By Simon Smale

Allan Fitzgibbon has leaped high to claim a bomb and crash over in the middle!

But he went up with AJ Brimson and it might have touched Brimson first...

And it did.

That's unfortunate for the Titans and Fitzgibbon, a great effort and superb skill, catching the ball out of the sun from a Weaver bomb.

63' Tino is off the field

Last time he was off for seven minutes and had to come back on to salvage the sinking Titans ship.

Perhaps don't get comfortable on the bench, Tino.

59' Hudson Young is down

By Simon Smale

He thinks he's been subject to a hip drop, but it's genuinely hard to tell what the league considers a hip drop.

De Groot fell down in the tackle but I don't think it's a hip drop in the main sense of the word. But what do I know?

It ended a really good passage of play from the Raiders, featuring a brutal Savelio Tamale hand off and then a couple of passes inside until Hudson Young drops the ball in the tackle.

There's no penalty, it's play on with the hand over.

55' Briliant from Kelly and Weeks!

By Simon Smale

AJ Brimson puts boot to ball and pokes it into the dead ball zone - the kick is too long and Brian Kelly has to sprint through and fling the ball back into play.

There, Kaeo Weeks gathers and takes the ball out of the in goal and away.

Brilliant football.

52' Allan Fitzgibbon and his bushy beard gets the score!

By Simon Smale

Tremendous finish in the corner from Allan Fitzgibbon - his first try in the NRL!

Lovely quick ball handling to move the ball to the left, a lovely pick up from a low pass from Brian Kelly creates the overlap and when he gets the ball to Fitzgibbon, the winger does the rest with the one-handed diving put down.

The kick to level it is a good one - BUT COMES BACK OFF THE POST!

51' Phil Sami drops the ball over the line!

By Simon Smale

Oh that was unlucky!

Another great kick to the corner, Sami rose highest and had a really good play at it, but lets it through his hands.

49' Tom Starling gives away a penalty

By Simon Smale

Real sloppy carry from Matthew Timoko, who was tackled by three Titans.

However, as the Titans tried to play the ball in the subsequent tackle, Starling was caught raking at it like a rugby union hooker.

46' Kelly heads the ball out

By Simon Smale

That's fantastic - Brian Kelly has pushed the ball out over the dead ball line with his forehead, as if he was a Gold Coast United (may they rest in peace) player heading the ball out for a corner.

But it was because Matthew Timoko pushed him in the back.

43' The Raiders stay hot after the break!

By Simon Smale

Sebastian Kris leaps high to claim the Fogarty bomb and the Raiders get the first after half time!

Nice work from the Raiders.

The move to the right side was neat and tidy - the kick back inside was perfect.

And the Raiders, after a very poor start, could race away here.

Fogarty kicks the extras to make it 22-16.

Second half underway

By Simon Smale

The Raiders finished that first half with a wet sail.

They kick off in the second to give the Titans the chance to respond.

I mean, you're not wrong

By Simon Smale

A half of two quarters!... Sorry, I couldn't resist... OK, I'll go and wait in the car...

What a brilliant fightback from the Raiders.

They were just not at the races in the first 20 minutes of the game and deservedly shipped three tries.

After that dismal first quarter though, they have fought back superbly, powering through with three-straight tries of their own.

It's a sizzling contest in the Gold Coast sun and it could be a belter of a second half.

40' Raiders crash over!

By Simon Smale

Crash ball from Ethan Strange through two tacklers and over the line!

A powerful run, De Groot had no chance despite making a very good tackle attempt standing up.

It's a lovely move - and we're going to be all square heading into half time!

What a game!

The kick is good and we're locked at 16-16.

39' Errors abound

By Simon Smale

Oh my.

Morgan Smithies makes a horror error off a penalty after a Klese Haas high shot.

Then Jojo Fifita loses the ball off the very next hit up!

The Titans challenge but you're not going to win that - and they don't.

The Raiders have the ball on the Raiders 20.

36' Brilliant Fogarty kick forces error

Oh my word, that was a knuckleball of a high kick from the former Titan, Fogarty, that had Phillip Sami running around under the ball like Wile E. Coyote under a Road Runner-dropped bomb.

He made a fair effort to take the catch diving forward but then just looked up, apologetically, as he fumbles it.
